This automation pulls your recent return/order history on a weekly schedule, uses AI to detect suspicious patterns such as repeat high-frequency returners and mismatched return reasons, and flags the results into a review queue so your team only looks at the cases that actually warrant a second look.

Setup

Connect the HTTP Request node to your store's orders/returns API (Shopify Admin API by default — swap in your platform's endpoint if different). Connect an OpenAI credential for the pattern-detection step, and a Google Sheets credential pointed at your 'Return Review Queue' sheet. The schedule trigger runs weekly by default.

Credentials & APIs needed

Shopify Admin API access token (or equivalent order/returns API credential), OpenAI API credential (for pattern detection), and a Google Sheets OAuth2 credential for the review queue.
