Shipping Delay Proactive Notifier
By the time a customer emails asking where their order is, a delay has usually already frustrated them — and answering those tickets one by one eats up support time that a heads-up email could have avoided entirely. This automation checks tracking status for open shipments every six hours, detects when a delay has occurred, and proactively sends the customer an update — cutting down WISMO tickets by reaching customers before they have to reach you.
Who it's for: E-commerce sellers who want customers told about a shipping delay before they ask, instead of after they complain
What you get
A ready-to-import n8n automation workflow (JSON file) delivered digitally after purchase, plus setup guidance built right into the workflow file as documentation notes.
Setup
Connect the HTTP Request node to your shipping/tracking provider's API (any carrier-tracking aggregator works) using the order ID to look up status. Connect a Gmail (or SMTP) credential for the proactive update email. The schedule trigger checks every six hours by default — adjust to your carrier's update frequency.
Credentials & APIs needed
Shipping/tracking provider API credential (HTTP Request node) and a Gmail/SMTP credential for the proactive customer email.
